CD DESIGN STEPS

the first stage of producing a Cd cover is professional scanning. The type of scanner used is high quality drum scanner that scans original photographs. The designers who will be doing the scans will be in charge of cropping, resizing and changing the photo type to a CYMK type. they basically would be doing all the adjusting before the next step.

The next stage would be starting the design but the designer would be receiving help from a professional art director to make sure the design is perfectly designed and appropriate. The Cd design would also be enhanced to improve attraction mainly by adding strong textures and effect to it.

Your design of what you sent to the design support team for them to adjust it would be sent back to you but only a hard copy, but the design they fully did would be printed to one of their design proofers. Within a 24 hour period new copies of the design would be sent to you for your approval. If you end up fully satisfied with how your design looks then its all up to you to send it to your design manager know to publish/ print your design to the streets.
